Formerly known as the Connecticut Probate Law Journal, the QPLJ began in 1986 as the official reporter of probate decisions in the State of Connecticut. The QPLJ is sponsored by the Quinnipiac University School of Law (QUSL) and is published in cooperation with the National College of Probate Judges and the Connecticut Probate Assembly. Currently, the Journal’s subscribers include judges, administrators, academics, law schools, and many law practitioners from around the New England area. The QPLJ is one of only four student-edited probate journals in the country. The QPLJ publishes opinions from probate courts in Connecticut and other jurisdictions across the United States, scholarly articles from judges or practitioners, and QUSL student notes and case comments in all areas of probate law. Past issues have featured topics such as testamentary capacity, disposition of property, voluntary/involuntary representation, estate planning, and fiduciary duties, among many more.
